Many years come and go with often undesired swiftness. But this year, the march of father time was executed with blinding speed. I still have "to-dos" from May, that got lost in the complete whirl that has been 2003. I hope 2004 treats us a little kinder. I'm not being impractical, asking for moments of stillness, or for granular control of the moments. But a "medium pace" (for you Adam Sanler fans) would sure be welcome.
Anyway, the kids' daycare closed at noon today, so I had to pick them up and take them to work with me. I took my handy portable DVD player and had them sit at a vacant desk to watch movies. That went very well and they behaved probably the best they ever have at the office.
Here soon we're off to celebrate the coming new year with friends, so probably won't get to blog again until next year. See you then.
