I get out of the car at work this morning, and it's a balmy 34 degrees, but it feels okay, so I throw my gloves back in the car and head toward the building.
But it didn't take long, once I was out from behind the wind-shelter of my car, for me to realize that I made an error.
By the time I got halfway to the building I was seriously considering going back to the car for the gloves, but I toughed it out at the cost of numb hands by time that I got inside.
Let this be a lesson to all you smarter people.
