Darby had another softball tournament today, while I've been in Texas for a wedding. I talked to her on the phone tonight to see how it went. She says they lost all for games, three by a lot and the fourth by 1. What's nice about that one slight loss is that we play that same team again on Monday during a regular league game, so now we know we can take them with a little more effort. Darby says she got a double (awesome!) and had some good outs, but that the team started to get cranky with all the losses and could have had a better attitude about it. Very good observation, Darby.
I'll have you know these are probably the first games I've missed of Darby's in years, if ever, and she's been playing since she was 4. If I weren't the best man in this wedding (i.e. just a guest), probably I don't miss those games.
Also while I've been away, Shelby got to have a blast at a birthday party at Incredible Pizza tonight.
