Right under being an actual ball player (even if that meant sitting on the bench for league minimum, since I have NO skills), the next best job in the world would HAVE to be the guy who got to fly around to all the major league ballparks trying all the varieties of food for the Food Network Awards category "Best Ballpark Eats". I mean, that's like a full-season job, right? There are 32 ballparks, and if you evenly divide the season up between the parks, you get about 5 days per park. I'd think you'd need AT LEAST that much time per park to adequately sample the food. So six months on the road visiting every ballpark and getting paid to eat the food? Oh yeah, sign me up.
Oh, and this year's winner? The Vault (Citizens Bank Park) in Philly (PDF). How much does that rock?
Those Food Network guys... smart people. I'm going to have to start watching that channel.
