A closer look at the new place

A number of things have changed in the almost year since I last checked out my next potential residence (linked site is broken... it's now here). Most noticeably, they're no longer selling units. Not enough interest (in owning). However, they've been leasing them out for about six weeks now, and they've been going like wildfire I'm told. In fact, the exact unit I want is already being leased. So, I figure I should act fast before the pickings are slim.

The girls and I got a thorough tour today (during my last tour, much wasn't yet finished), and I must say that it is so truly awesome. Like a freakin five-star hotel. I can't wait to move in. And the girls agree. They are completely bursting with excitement about the place. I'm not particularly excited about the rent, but I think it's going to be worth it for several reasons I'll not get into here. The first month is free, so you can't beat that. Just a $300 deposit, $175 for first month utilities, and I'm in. What a deal. So I'm taking the night to think about it, but I'm pretty sure I'm taking a check over there tomorrow so they'll hold my eighth-floor unit (I wanted the 10th floor) for 45-days while I figure out when the heck I'm going to move. 1 May seems like a good enough date, but oh how I loathe moving.
