Today was the last day for both the girls' holiday break from school, and the break in our typical day-to-day process. I'm torn about the matter cause it will be nice to get back to routine (instead of trying to figure out where the kids will go today since there's no school), but that routine can be rather stressing at times, thus my conflict.
One thing's for sure, the girls went out with a bang. They stayed with some family today and rode bikes, played with neighborhood kids, and, I'm told, generally had a great time. They're somewhat excited to get back to school, but I'm quite certain that won't last beyond tomorrow.
Also coming to and end today, if only peripherally related, is good parking. I let myself get spoiled with the near-front-row parking the last couple weeks, with people out for various holiday activities. So now that it's back to normal (more than 100 yards/meters), the walk into the office has lost all remaining joy. Not that there was much left after nearly ten years of the same walk into the same building.
