Bearing down on the season

Tonight was one of the last practices before the season starts next week. They moved Darby to first base because her arm just wasn't consistently making it to first from third. However, she's doing VERY well at that first. The other kids are throwing it all over the place getting the ball back to first to make the play and she's catching almost all of them. The coach was very impressed with her reflexes and catching prowess. I attribute that prowess mostly to the catches we've had since she was four years old. I've always pushed her hard and thrown balls all over the place, often just beyond her reach, to make her more adept at making good plays out of bad throws. Glad to see it's paying off.
