Aftertaste

When I picked up Shelby from school, she had no homework, which was briefly pleasing. But she had three more tallies (7 for the week), and when I inspected her desk, I found four crumpled, incomplete classwork papers. So we brought those home and she got to spend all night doing work again. I told her I will be inspecting her desk daily, and that if she doesn't want to spend the rest of the school year doing school work at night as well as during the day, she had better focus harder on getting the work done during the day.
