Everybody gets a veil

In some of the pre-communion parental briefings, church members told us that veils were "optional". So I didn't get one for Darby when I got her dress and shoes. It was not until last weekend that I ordered one because, "you just have to have a veil" people said. Sure enough, today at Darby's First Communion, all the girls had a veil. If that's the case, they really shouldn't tell you it's optional. I mean, they told us to get a white dress...
