I'm good for another four years on my driver's license, after being reminded by my own blog about the impending expiration. I'm so glad that Oklahoma has moved into the present with a modern style of license (back). For years my friends in other states had things like 1- and 2-D bar codes, holograms, etc. on their licenses, but Oklahoma has been sadly behind until post-9/11.
A little related piece of trivia I learned from my soon-to-be UK-resident ex-employee... In the UK, a driver's license is good for life (until age 70), and there's no photo on it. They don't use it for ID typically. Since most Europeans travel country to country so much, they generally use their passport as their primary ID.
