Farewell you (K), hello kids

We said farewell to one of my employees today. It was a very nice ceremony in which I had to make an impromptu speech, present a gift from the team, and poorly cut cake for a surprisingly large crowd. In just a couple of weeks time she'll be starting her new job in the U.K.

After work I got the kids back from their grandmother. They got a week long vacation from dad, though the last two days of it Darby was sick and throwing up. Fortunately by the time we reunited she said she was feeling better and there have been no incidents of regurgitation since.

We had dinner with their grandmother, visited with their uncle and cousin for a little bit, then left in time to get Darby a haircut. Her bangs were in her eyes and she had been dying for a trim, so we went ahead and took care of that since she was feeling better.
