I know, I know. I'm a slacker. But let's move on for now.
The financial result of my annual performance review went into effect today. So I guess that's positive. Worse things can happen right? Like being hit in head with a 2x4 or getting into a car accident or being dumped or something crazy like that. Getting money is generally good, so let's focus on that. Positive thoughts... positive thoughts... positive thoughts...
I actually asked not to get a raise, if you can believe that, but it didn't happen that way as it turns out. However, it was smaller than the last three, so hopefully my request (a higher raise for one of my team members, who has certainly earned it more than I) was partially realized at least. That review is coming up soon after all.
Darby had a field trip to Frontier City today. Seems like she had fun, but the $10 I sent with her as "emergency money" has disappeared, and I am unimpressed with her definition of emergency.
