After the girls got back from mass, we went to the movies with my little brother and step-mother. The girls went to see Peter Pan, and the guys went to see Lord of the Rings III, or as I like to call it, the movie with five endings. Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but there were at least five distict times I thought the movie was about to end, and I would have been comfortable with it ending at any of those times. It just seemed like they dragged it way way way way way out.
And oddly, the one thing I didn't feel was resolved (the Éowyn/Aragorn relationship), never got resolved, even with all those endings. Some may say he resolved it, but I'm thinking in the real world of man, when the elf girl (Arwen) came back for her guy, the "other girl" would have been at least a little jealous, especially one as tough and willing to be improper (for the age, i.e. going to battle as a man) as Éowyn. Considering also that Arwen decided to become mortal, I'm thinking the Rohan probable-queen could kick a little former-elf butt.
